"Tsuguurushi Kintsugi (Gold Repair) Lessons" Starting in 2026, lessons will be held once a month. Kintsugi is a craft that you can be proud of, one that you can continue little by little for a long time. Let's proceed at your own pace. "Kintsugi Lessons" teach traditional techniques. The goal is not just to create a beautiful finish. We hope you will embrace the idea of learning from the past to create something new, and come to understand the aesthetics of wabi-sabi. Furthermore, you will naturally develop a sense of appreciation for the items you complete with your own hands, which will be a deeply moving and rewarding experience. Regardless of experience level, we hope to share the joy of repairing together. Starting January 2026 ■ Every fourth Sunday of the month (You can choose your preferred month and register for one class at a time) (1/25, 2/22, 3/22, 4/26, 5/24, 6/28, 7/26, 8/23, 9/27, 10/25, 11/22, 12/20) ■ 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM *If there are cancellations or requests, we will add an afternoon class (14:00 onwards). Available times will be displayed when you make your reservation. ■ Approximately 4 people per class ■ ¥6600 ■ Regarding materials... We previously asked students to purchase materials so that they could review at home, but we have now made it possible for you to choose between purchasing or renting. You are welcome to consider purchasing after seeing how the first class goes. Please enter your preference when you register, as we will confirm it with you in advance. ★Tool Set ¥19,800 (For those wishing to purchase after May 10, 2026) Previously, the tool set was ¥16,500, but due to rising material costs, we have revised the tool set price. We appreciate your understanding. ★Tool Rental ¥1,100/per session *Additional charges may apply depending on the amount of lacquer and metal powder used. (Those wishing to rent tools should pay on the day of the lesson) *Cash/card accepted Even those who already own tools will be able to freely use some of the materials used during the lesson. Please rest assured even if materials run out on the day. *In cases where a large amount of materials are used, we may ask you to purchase them after consultation. Please specify a convenient date and time to make a reservation. ■What to Bring Apron, rubber gloves, rags, a box to take home your ceramics, writing utensils *Please prepare a box large enough to hold the items so that the repair areas do not overlap. *Using styrofoam is recommended as it helps the lacquer harden more easily. 【Items that can be repaired】 Ceramics, wooden items that can be wiped with lacquer *The wipe-lacquer technique, which was previously taught at a separate time, will now be taught concurrently with the kintsugi (gold repair) technique within the allotted time. We will also review items that are deemed difficult to repair to ensure you can proceed with confidence, so please bring them along. 【Items that cannot be repaired】 Glass, lacquered ware ★For first-time participants, we will schedule a separate explanation session for your first visit. We will discuss the time slot individually.
